Mattie Rozas is a New Orleans–based artist whose work explores expressive florals, layered color, and the quiet beauty of thoughtfully curated spaces.
She studied Interior Design at Louisiana State University, where she developed a deep appreciation for how color, texture, and form interact within a space. After graduating, Mattie worked in the design field, an experience that continues to shape the way she approaches painting today. Her work is created with an understanding that art does not exist in isolation—it lives alongside furniture, textiles, light, and the many elements that make a home feel layered and personal.
Over the past four years, Mattie has built a practice creating original paintings and bespoke hand-painted pieces for private clients. Her work first gained recognition through custom commissions and thoughtfully crafted wedding pieces, where she developed a reputation for creating meaningful, highly personal artwork.
Today, her studio practice centers on expressive florals and original paintings designed to bring warmth, movement, and a sense of harmony into the spaces they inhabit.
